The Research & Strategy Lab is MLL’s think tank and experimental hub, exploring how memes, narratives, and digital media shape perception and influence behavior. Through research and strategic development, we refine approaches to media literacy and critical engagement.
Experimental Events
We host conferences, workshops, and hackathons as spaces for collaboration and innovation. Conferences connect researchers, creators, and technologists to exchange insights. Workshops test educational methods, analyze memetic trends, and refine intervention strategies. Hackathons drive rapid prototyping of tools, content experiments, and new media literacy approaches.
Research & Development
Our team conducts qualitative and quantitative research on meme ecosystems, cognitive biases, and digital influence. We develop frameworks and scalable methodologies to enhance public understanding of media manipulation. These insights directly inform MLL’s content, tools, and outreach strategies, ensuring real-world impact.

The Creative Studio transforms research-driven insights into viral, engaging content that makes media literacy accessible and culturally relevant. By using humor, visual storytelling, and platform-native formats, it creates memes, short-form videos, and interactive media that resonate with digital audiences.
Viral Content
We produce memes, videos, and interactive challenges that leverage the same emotional triggers and storytelling techniques that drive online engagement. Through collaborations with digital creators and trend adaptation, our content spreads organically, meeting audiences where they already consume information.
Innovation & Experimentation
More than a production house, the studio is an experimental playground for testing new formats, refining messaging, and developing creative interventions. By iterating in real time and adapting to digital trends, we ensure media literacy content remains fresh, impactful, and contagious.

MemeUprising.com is MLL’s central repository for curating, organizing, and archiving media literacy content. It serves as a living library of memes, videos, articles, and interactive resources, ensuring materials remain accessible, relevant, and adaptable for different contexts and audiences.
Crowd-Sourced Curation
By leveraging community-driven content discovery, MemeUprising.com collects and categorizes impactful media, fostering a collaborative ecosystem where users contribute, tag, and refine materials to enhance their effectiveness and accessibility.
Optimization & Adaptation
MemeUprising.com streamlines content repurposing and adaptation, making it easy to refine and remix existing materials for different platforms, formats, and audiences. By maintaining an evolving archive, it provides a foundation for ongoing media literacy efforts, ensuring high-quality content remains available for educators, creators, and advocacy groups.

The Distribution Pipeline is MLL’s strategic framework for ensuring media literacy content reaches the right audiences at the right time. By leveraging organic and algorithm-driven methods, it amplifies content across social media, influencer networks, and digital communities.
Viral Amplification
Through social media, partnerships, and community engagement, the Pipeline maps content lifecycles from initial release to viral potential. A dedicated street team of digital distributors actively shares, remixes, and seeds content in online spaces where it can gain traction.
Adaptive Strategy
The Pipeline is data-driven and continuously evolving, using A/B testing, audience feedback, and platform analytics to refine distribution tactics in real time. By optimizing for shareability and engagement, it transforms media literacy into a participatory movement rather than a passive message.

Partnerships & Advocacy is MLL’s connective tissue—building alliances, amplifying shared goals, and embedding media literacy into broader cultural and institutional movements. Through strategic collaborations and public advocacy, we extend the impact of our work beyond digital spaces and into policy, education, and community networks.
Strategic Partnerships
We partner with media organizations, educational institutions, NGOs, community organizers, digital platforms, and policy makers to co-create campaigns, distribute content, and integrate media literacy tools into existing programs. These alliances enable contextual adaptation, cultural relevance, and broader adoption of MLL’s frameworks and resources.
Public Engagement
MLL engages in policy conversations, public forums, and civic campaigns that support digital literacy, platform accountability, and cognitive resilience. By offering toolkits, remixable content, and collaborative projects, we empower communities and changemakers to take ownership of media literacy, spreading it peer-to-peer across networks and institutions.
